How It Works: The Aerolase laser tackles toe, nail, and skin fungus with a targeted heat attack. The laser energy is absorbed in water and melanin in and around the fungal material in the nail bed and nail matrix, to superheat and destroy the fungus. Here’s the science behind it:

1.) Deep Heating: The laser emits a specific wavelength that penetrates deep enough to reach the fungus living beneath the nail plate or within the skin.

2.) Fungal Disruption: The laser energy heats the fungus, disrupting its cell structure and killing it. This eliminates the source of the infection.

3.) Gentle Treatment: Unlike some traditional methods, the Aerolase laser uses ultra-short pulses to minimize heat transfer to surrounding tissues. This makes the treatment comfortable and reduces the risk of side effects.

This targeted approach allows the Aerolase laser to effectively treat fungal infections without damaging healthy skin or nails.

What To Expect: Some clients respond better than others. While some clients will no longer be infected with the fungus under the nail, the nail may never return to its normal color. Fungal death may take 2-3 treatments in 1-2 week intervals which should result in visible growth of clear nails and/or skin. However, the treatment of nail fungus is difficult. Re-infection rate can be high, especially in elderly clients.
